Alana & Tom | Josias River Farm Wedding | Cape Neddick, Maine
Tucked among towering trees and a charming white farmhouse in Cape Neddick, Maine, Alana & Tom gathered their favorite people for a wedding day that felt intimate, relaxed, and deeply personal.
From an emotional first look to a tent reception filled with beautiful blue florals and family-centered moments, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple.
While I wasn't able to be there in person, my associate photographer Christa, alongside second photographer Steve, had the honor of documenting this beautiful celebration on behalf of Dampolo Photography. From the moment they arrived, they knew it was going to be a good day. Music was playing, everyone was excited, and the energy surrounding Alana and Tom was contagious.
One of the first memorable moments of the day came before anyone was dressed for the ceremony. A celebratory bottle of champagne was opened, sending bubbles flying everywhere—including all over Christa's camera. Thankfully, the camera survived, and the laughter that followed set the tone for the rest of the day.
Nestled among towering trees and beautifully maintained gardens, Josias River Farm provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate Maine wedding. The historic white farmhouse, white picket fence, and lush greenery created a setting that felt timeless and welcoming. What stood out most was how personal everything felt. As a family-owned property, there was a warmth to the venue that made guests feel right at home.
The wedding party looked incredible in a palette of soft dusty blues, a perfect complement to the natural surroundings. Alana's bouquet featured gorgeous shades of blue and white, echoing the hydrangeas and coastal charm that Maine is known for. Even the reception details carried those colors through, with stunning floral centerpieces and beautifully styled tables beneath the reception tent.
One of the sweetest moments of the day was Alana and Tom's first look. As soon as they saw each other, emotions took over. Tears flowed freely, and it was clear just how much this moment meant to both of them. After months of planning and anticipation, they finally had the chance to pause together and soak it all in.
Family was at the heart of this celebration. Christa couldn't stop talking about Alana's nephew Luca, who stole plenty of hearts throughout the day looking incredibly handsome in his little suit. The entire wedding felt centered around the people who love Alana and Tom most, creating an atmosphere that was both joyful and deeply meaningful.
Just before the ceremony, Mother Nature added a little suspense to the day. A brief rain shower rolled through, lasting only about ten minutes. Then, almost as quickly as it arrived, the clouds parted and blue skies appeared. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, allowing the couple to exchange vows surrounded by sunshine and fresh summer air.
Their ceremony was made even more meaningful through personal vows. Standing before their family and friends, Alana and Tom shared heartfelt promises with one another that left few dry eyes in attendance. It was one of those ceremonies that reminded everyone exactly why they were there—to celebrate a love story years in the making.
As the sun began to set, guests gathered beneath the beautifully decorated tent for an evening of dinner, dancing, and celebration. The floral arrangements were stunning, the tablescapes were thoughtfully designed, and every detail reflected the couple's vision for a romantic summer wedding in Maine.
Most of all, this day was a reflection of Alana and Tom themselves: genuine, welcoming, emotional, and full of love.
Alana and Tom, thank you for trusting the Dampolo Photography team to capture such an important chapter in your story. We are so grateful Christa and Steve were able to celebrate alongside you and document these memories for years to come.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Curtin!
