Sara & Harrison | A Lakeview Pavilion Wedding Steeped in Tradition
There are weddings that are beautiful, and then there are weddings that mean something more. Sara & Harrison’s Lakeview Pavilion celebration was both—full of joy, bright color, and deep family significance. This wasn’t just a wedding day—it was a continuation of tradition, a celebration of love passed down through generations.
July 12th is a special date. It just so happens to be my wedding anniversary, and now it's one that Sara and Harrison share with me! It’s also just a few days after Sara’s parents, too. Some 31 years ago on the 9th of July, her mom and dad said “I do” in the very same church, and celebrated at the same venue. It was an incredible honor to witness and capture history repeating itself in the most meaningful way.
We started the day at Sara’s childhood home in Wrentham. There’s something especially sweet about getting ready in the house you grew up in, surrounded by the people who have loved you the longest. Sara looked radiant in her white gown and veil, but it was her hot pink Betsy Johnson heels that really brought the fun—and set the tone for the day. Her bridesmaids wore pink dresses full of personality, each one paired with a pair of Betsy Johnson shoes (some white, others colorful and fun). Their crisp white bouquets popped perfectly against the dresses, while Sara’s bouquet burst with bright, joyful hues.
Before heading to the church, Sara’s dad surprised the bridal party with a bottle of Dom Perignon—such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to toast what was to come.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin, where Sara’s parents (and Grandparents) were also married. It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, surrounded by the couple’s closest friends and family. Outside the church, we captured some of the most joyful family portraits before making our way to Lakeview Pavilion.
Lakeview Pavilion in Foxboro is a dream venue. With its clean, bright white interior, it’s a blank canvas that lets a couple’s vision shine—and Sara & Harrison’s vision absolutely did. The vibrant colors of the wedding party carried through into every detail of the reception: lush, colorful floral arrangements, playful table numbers, and photo displays of the couple’s story together. It felt modern, whimsical, and full of life.
I can’t say enough about the staff at Lakeview. Their service is seriously top notch. Their organization and efficiency is the best I've ever seen. They ensured the couple was attended to, and that the night remained right on schedule. Their serving team delivers meals in a synchronized style that adds a touch of elegance to the dining experience.
After some touching toasts (equal parts tears and laughter), first dances, and sweet parent dances, the celebration kicked into high gear. The DJ brought the energy, and the dance floor filled quickly—arms in the air, glittering tinsel wands waving, and laughter all around. This group came to party, and they absolutely delivered.
As we packed up our gear, one final special touch capped off the night: the unmistakable chant of “ROLL TIDE!” echoing through the venue, a rallying cry for this proud University of Alabama crowd.
Photographing Sara & Harrison’s day was such a joy—not only because of the beauty and love that surrounded them, but because it felt like such a full-circle moment. To be part of a wedding on my own anniversary, especially one tied to so much family tradition, made it all the more special.
Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Martin, and to many more July 12ths filled with love and celebration!
