Rachel & Nickβs Tupper Manor Wedding | Beverly, MA
Some wedding days just feel meant to be, and Rachel & Nick's beautiful celebration at Tupper Manor was one of them.
Nestled on the stunning coastal campus of Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, Tupper Manor offers the perfect blend of historic charm, elegant architecture, and seaside beauty. From the iconic fountain on the lawn to the grand staircase inside the manor, every corner of the property provides a beautiful backdrop for a wedding day. Rachel and Nick chose a timeless palette of dusty blue and white, complemented by lush florals and an intimate wedding party made up of their closest family and friends.
While New England weather kept us guessing for a bit, the day turned out nearly perfect. A quick sprinkle shower passed through just in time, leaving behind fresh air, soft light, and the perfect conditions for an outdoor ceremony in front of the manor's fountain.
Getting Ready & First Looks
The morning began upstairs in Tupper Manor's bridal suite, where Rachel and her three closest ladies spent the morning getting ready together. The bridesmaids wore matching pajamas while the bride, of course, stood out in white.
While the ladies enjoyed a relaxed morning upstairs, Nick and his groomsmen settled into the billiard room downstairs, sharing stories, straightening ties, and fitting in a few games of pool before the festivities began.
As final touches were completed, it was time for one of the most emotional parts of the day.
Rachel first shared a special moment with her father on the upstairs balcony. Between his jokes and playful comments, it was easy to see just how emotional he was seeing his first baby all dressed up and ready to walk down the aisle.
Then came the couple's first look.
Nick waited in the foyer beneath Tupper Manor's grand staircase as Rachel made her way down toward him. When she gently tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around, the emotions immediately took over. The tears started flowing, and it was impossible not to feel the love between them. It was a beautiful reminder of what the day was truly about.
Portraits Around Tupper Manor
Following the first look, we headed out to the fountain for portraits. The elegant architecture of the manor combined with the fountain and gardens created the perfect setting for timeless images.
Just as we began, a light drizzle rolled through, sending us back inside for family portraits. Thankfully, the rain didn't stick around long. Once the skies cleared, we returned outdoors with the wedding party to take advantage of the beautiful grounds before guests arrived for the ceremony.
A Fountain-Side Ceremony
With the rain behind us, guests gathered on the lawn as Rachel and Nick exchanged vows in front of Tupper Manor's iconic fountain.
The ceremony was officiated by a close friend of the couple, making the experience feel even more personal and meaningful. His wife happened to be one of the bridesmaids, making the entire wedding party feel like an extension of family.
One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was hearing Rachel and Nick's handwritten vows. Their words were heartfelt, genuine, and deeply personal, bringing both laughter and tears to those gathered. There wasn't a dry eye in sight as they promised forever to one another.
Cocktail Hour Details
As guests moved inside for cocktail hour, there was no shortage of beautiful details to enjoy.
The fashion was incredible, with guests embracing colorful dresses, bold patterns, and vibrant summer styles. Bright signature cocktails, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and lively conversation filled the manor as everyone celebrated the newlyweds.
One of my favorite personal touches was seeing framed photographs from Rachel and Nick's engagement session displayed throughout the cocktail hour space. I always love when couples incorporate images from their engagement session into their wedding decorβit creates such a wonderful connection between the two milestones.
Another standout detail was their guest book. Rather than a traditional book, guests signed the borders of a beautiful painting of Tupper Manor, creating a meaningful piece of artwork the couple will be able to display in their home for years to come.
Dinner & Dancing in the Conservatory
The reception began with a first dance that guests won't soon forget. Rachel and Nick worked with Boston Ballroom to choreograph their dance, and it showed. Their performance was elegant, fun, and completely captivating. The smiles on their faces said it all as they shared one of their first moments together as husband and wife.
Following the dance, guests found their seats in the Conservatory for dinner and heartfelt toasts.
Rachel's father kicked off the speeches exactly as everyone expectedβwith plenty of jokes and laughter. But beneath the humor was a father overflowing with pride and love for his daughter.
Rachel's younger sister followed with a touching speech about growing up wanting to be just like her big sister, sharing memories that had everyone smiling through tears.
Nick's brother wrapped up the evening's toasts with stories from their childhood, plenty of laughs, and heartfelt wishes for the couple's future together.
Sunset Stroll to the Beach
Later in the evening, we slipped away from the reception for a few quiet moments with just the newlyweds.
One of the unique advantages of a wedding at Tupper Manor is its proximity to the water. We made our way down to the beach for sunset portraits, enjoying a peaceful walk together as the celebration continued back at the manor.
While the skies remained cloudy and we never got the golden sunset photographers dream about, it didn't matter. The soft coastal light, gentle ocean breeze, and chance for Rachel and Nick to simply be together created some of my favorite images of the entire day.
Parent Dances & Sweet Celebrations
Back inside, Rachel and Nick shared a private cake cutting before returning to their guests.
The dessert display was absolutely beautiful, offering plenty of sweet treats for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening.
As the celebration continued, Rachel shared a heartfelt dance with her father. These moments always seem to slow time down for just a few minutesβa chance for parents and children to reflect on years of memories while creating one final memory before the next chapter begins.
Nick's dance with his mother was equally emotional, filled with smiles, hugs, and the unmistakable pride that comes from watching your child marry the love of their life.
The Party
Once the formalities wrapped up, it was time for everyone to truly celebrate.
The dance floor quickly filled with guests of all ages, and one of the night's biggest stars was Rachel's 90-year-old grandmother, who absolutely owned the dance floor. Watching generations of family and friends dancing together is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day.
This is the point in the evening when everyone lets loose. Shoes come off, ties get loosened, and guests stop worrying about posing for photos and simply enjoy being present. The laughter becomes louder, the dance moves become more creative, and some of the most authentic moments of the day unfold naturally.
It's a reminder that weddings aren't just about the details or the timelineβthey're about bringing together the people you love most to celebrate something truly special.
